User Review: Hi-Tec Lightweight (1987)

Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Materials: lightweight
Use: Canyon hiking w/ heavy pack / Dayhiking / Yard work
Break-in Period: 15 minutes
Weight: very light
Price Paid: Cheap

These are 7-year-old boots just returned from their second 50-miler in the Escalante canyons. Blew a seam this time, but for the extremely low price, comfort, and durability these old Hi Tecs can't be beat. I've seen Nikes blow out in one trip in these canyons.

For comfort I added a padded insole, but other than that these guys are the original.

Save your $$$$$ and buy from the original makers of lightweights.
