Darn Tough Merino Boot Sock Full Cushion

rated 5 of 5 stars This is what 'smart wool' used to be, years ago! These are what Smartwool used to be, many years ago when they were first sold by L.L. Bean, but have since shifted to Asia.   The Darn Tough socks are even better made, stronger, and with a more restricted sizing structure, so it is easier to get a nice fit.  Well made, excellent wicking capability, and with the company's lifetime guarantee, they will find few returns. Wonderful socks for all four seasons.  I even use the light wool in summer,… Full review

REI Men's Merino Light Hiker Crew Sock

rated 4 of 5 stars Really like them! Warm and comfortable. I might have been lucky, but I bought a few pairs of these about four months ago and they have been great. I've hiked in them and even worn them to work without any signs of breaking down. I know the other reviewer had horrible luck with these, but I have to say that mine have been great. I like the feel of them. They maintain warmth without drenching your feet in sweat. I might not be as hard on my socks as others, but no complaints after four months. Full review

FITS Sock Medium Hiker Crew

rated 5 of 5 stars Try a pair of Fits socks and never look back. Andrew F has a great review of these socks. The owner of the outdoor sports store I frequent says, "Paula, I've got the sock for you." They are the sock for any hiker in my opinion. They are a bit pricey to buy but worth the cost. I've since been back to buy another pair. The design of the sock is the key to the comfort. You look at them and think I'm not so sure about the deep hill pocket on the sock. But it works, keeps the sock in place. They don't… Full review

Darn Tough Merino Boot Sock Full Cushion

rated 5 of 5 stars I've worked through many socks in my time, but nothing compares to Darn Tough. These socks do everything you would want from one of your most abused pieces of equipment. Incredibly durable, comfortable, don't fall down, resist odor, stay warm when wet, plus they're made in the USA! Darn Tough puts all other brands in the higher-end outdoor sock to shame. Full review

Darn Tough Merino Boot Sock Full Cushion

rated 5 of 5 stars Socks that are comfortable, durable, and odor resistant. ’Guaranteed For Life’ is quite a statement from a sock manufacturer. No strings. No conditions. For life. I have been wearing brand name socks for years, and this product is the only one in its category that has not become thinner, thread-bare, or developed holes. It should be noted that I never put my socks in the dryer, and either hand wash in the field (without soap), or use the gentle cycle in the washing machine, inside out as directed. Full review

DeFeet Blaze

rated 5 of 5 stars Don't let the name put you off, these socks can be worn all year round, but especially stand out in the colder months. An all around great sock. I've used this sock in a variety of outdoor pursuits in a variety of weather conditions with a variety of shoes/boots and the one constant in each situation was the quality and high-performance of this sock. Overview and Conditions:  I came across these socks late last year at my local bike shop. Why they were carrying a trail sock was a bit surprising… Full review

Darn Tough Merino Micro Crew Sock Cushion

rated 5 of 5 stars The difference between fresh caught shrimp from the ocean and popcorn shrimp at a fast food joint. I recently got turned on to Darn Tough socks and I have zero hesitation in saying I will never buy another brand again. Putting these on for the first time was as if the master sock artist, Leonardo DaSockio, had painted them on my feet. Not only was there absolutely zero bunching on the trail, but my feet stayed dry (very unusual for me), they provided the perfect amount of cushion and I didn't need… Full review

Injinji Trail 2.0 Midweight Mini-Crew

rated 4.5 of 5 stars These socks are great for hiking! I love these socks! They fit perfectly and really do help prevent blisters. I got some terrible blisters on my toes and the balls of my feet on a 20-mile backpacking trip early this summer and subsequently bought these socks. I did the same hike last weekend and I did not re-blister my feet even though I was carrying even more weight this time! The socks are comfortable, moisture-wicking, and stretchy. They have a tighter, stretchy area in the middle that really… Full review

SmartWool Men's Hiking Ultra Light Mini

rated 4 of 5 stars After dismissing this sock as sub-par, I have a new found appreciation of them. They are not a great hiking sock, but they are pretty decent for running and cycling. I have own this sock for more than a year. On my first backpacking trip with it, I wrote it off as a bad purchase. The reason for this was the low cut did not work well with a light hiker (like my Merrell Moab Ventilator pictured here). Shortly into a hike, especially in wet conditions, the top of the sock is below the back of the shoe,… Full review
