Well, I rated it useless because I haven't been able to use it yet, so, it's not a fair assesment yet. Well, I have a problem. My wife and I went to her father's summer home in southern Indiana for a weekend, and we thought we would try and set it up for the first time, before our big camping trip coming up on Labor Day weekend.
When I bought it from eBay, it said it had been out of the box and set up once before, but never camped in. Well, there were no instructions, but you wouldn't think you would need them, right, wrong! There are five poles, none of them seem to fit right. Call me crazy, but we worked on it for hours.
Does anyone have the manual that you can e-mail me? I would greatly appreciate it. goillini94@comcast.net If you email it, put in the subject: YELLOWSTONE TENT.
Thanks,
Travis

i got it on sale and have had quite a few problems. First, the poles broke pretty easily, but temporarely fixed with duct tape. Second, it leaked a lot. i spent about 20 dollars trying to seam seal it and it is still not sealed (I think i might have done something to screw up seam sealing). without any seam sealer at all the tent leaks about a gallon of water (not an exageration). Even the rain fly leaked but that was fixed with seam sealer. It has an integrated canopy but that makes it harder to set up. Beside all that it would be a good tent for people that camp in light rain (after an attempt to seam seal) or good weather. It has a lot of room 20 x 10 with 3 rooms with see thru dividers for privacy! (yea right). It looks like they discontinued the model.

I've had my tent for several years and it's been used regularly. I have had no problems with leaking. Set-up is quick and easy. The tent poles are flimsy and I have been very careful during set up to avoid putting too much weight on one and cracking one but today it finally happened. I was unpacking from a rainy camping trip and was setting up the tent in the yard to dry when it happened. I am so glad we were at home when it broke! I'll post back after checking on the price of a replacement. The only gripe I have with the tent is the sharp angle of the end rooms which renders much of the area useless.

We bought this tent as an upgrade to another Hillary tent we had good luck with. Unfortunately, the first time we set it up one of the poles splintered. We called the parts number included with the tent and were quoted $64 to replace one pole. After doing a little research, we found that this tent is manufactured by Wenzel Co. so we called them. The same part only cost us $9. Now we are happy campers.

i bought the Yellowstone from Sears. i thought it would be cool to have alot of space and the price was right. first time i set it up one of the poles cracked. well i called to get new tent poles and they wanted $64 dollars for the poles, half the price of the tent almost. It looks great and is spacious but it's not worth it. The tent is fine but replacement parts are insane.
