Source Widepac

rated 5 of 5 stars Practical and easy to use water bladder. Source Widepac 3L in a Berghaus Wilderness rucksack I picked this model of water bladder over others for two main reasons. It is a little lighter in weight. It opens from the top, which I find more practical especially when I need to pour water from the bladder into a pot for cooking. And its bite valve comes with a cover to keep dirt off the valve—a useful feature when you set your pack down on the ground and it topples over as packs do. The slider looks… Full review

Source Widepac

rated 4 of 5 stars So much easier to open, close, and clean than bladders with screw tops. The new Helix bite valve is easier to clean than the original style, but too large and difficult to open/operate, especially one-handed (while biking). Overall, though, my favorite bladder. After years of struggling with the impossible to open CamelBak bladders, I was happily introduced to the Source slide top bladder. It is so easy to open and close that I was skeptical as to how leak-proof it would be, but I've never had an… Full review

Source WXP LP

rated 4 of 5 stars Holds water and no funny taste after a few days. This is also a very durable piece of equipment. I changed the bite valve since the original one leaked. This bladder is a great piece of equipment that is well thought out and does what it says it will. I had an issue with the bite valve so swapped it for a Camelbak—one problem solved. I have used this bladder for a couple of years and it is still in good shape, holds no funny tastes and doesn't leak. I would recommend it to anyone. I have the 3… Full review

MSR Dromedary Bags

rated 5 of 5 stars Indestructible, indispensable, 11th essential. I bought the MSR 10 liter dromedary bag about 5 years ago because I wanted a versatile form of water storage that did more than just quench my thirst. I love backpacking around rivers a lot and was sick of walking to the river every time I needed to fill a bottle, wash a dish, wash my hands or fill my Jetboil for cooking. I also needed a reliable form of large capacity water storage for missions where water sources were far and few between. I came… Full review

Source Widepac

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Same as Platypus, but much cheaper. I bought the 3L version on July '15 and it (almost) never left my backpack. Before Source I was relying on two and maybe sometimes, three stainless steel thermoses for my hydration. That put a lot of extra weight, not to mention that I ended up getting dehydrated most of the times because I hated to stall the team or be left behind in order to get the thermos on/off the backpack. So I drank mainly at stops. And then Source came into play with its fulfilling 3L… Full review

Source WXP LP

rated 5 of 5 stars Easy to fill, clean, dry. Does not absorb odors or flavors. Easy-connect lines and mouthpieces. I've bought maybe seven hydration systems for myself and my family over the years.  All of them worked, but were a nuisance to clean. You can't easily remove the lines and bite valves. They absorb flavors and odors. Not the Source system. These guys really thought out their product, and produced well built stuff. The bladder has this crazy coating so it won't absorb flavors or odors. Every piece has… Full review

Source WXP LP

rated 5 of 5 stars Takes a beating and keeps on working. I purchased this product from GoRuck for their events as it's their recommended gear. I had a military surplus Camelbak bladder for my first event and it ended up leaking. My entire left side was wet.  I decided to actually spend a little more and get the Source brand bladder. To keep from having the giant bump on my back I chose the wide version. It sits nice and flat against the back and takes up little space in my pack.  This thing has held up very well. Full review

Source WLP

rated 5 of 5 stars Very easy to fill, very strong bladder, the bite valve doesn't let enough water through. Easily fixed with a different bite valve. Definitely recommend. I will replace all my bladders with these as they wear out Full review

Source Widepac

rated 5 of 5 stars Source reservoirs are easy to fill at home or in the field, easy to add ice out of ice machines, easy to clean, they do not leak, and without a doubt the best on the market. Keep a 70 oz, a 100 oz, and a Divide partway full in the freezer, always clean and ready to go. Full review
