Patagonia Men's R4 Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars Rock solid windproof and waterproof enough to take on Winter, dont let this fleece fool you on its light weight plush design! I have used a North Face Denali for years but wanted something warm and windproof. Never did I expect to find something even better! Bought the newest version in Blue on Ebay for $120. Not only is this warm/windproof it holds up to 0 degrees when you properly layer it. I find that it is true to size and allows decent layering underneath without being too bulky and still plenty… Full review

Marmot Men's Quasar Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars Warm and lightweight jacket, it has a good quality construction, durability and the price is not high. Before starting this review I must mention I’m from Chile and my main language is Spanish, so feel free to correct my English and ask me for a better explanation if is necessary. I bought this down jacket 3 years ago, so this is not the last version of the Marmot Quasar Jacket. Anyway I will compare both describing their pros and cons. The features of my jacket are: 800 fill goose down Pertex… Full review

Mountain Hardwear Men's Plasmic Ion Jacket

rated 4 of 5 stars Lightweight hard shell for wind and rain protection. Cost effective hard shell for rain and wind protection, lightweight 330 g. men's extra-large, pit zips, which are most certainly needed on any hard shell jacket, making for easy ventilating when heat starts to build up. Drawstring on hood and waist for when the cold winds pick up and you need to batten down the hatches. Two large hand warmer pockets. Full review

ZeroXposur 3-in-1 Jacket

rated 1 of 5 stars The hood is a total POS. It doesn't stay attached to the coat. When it does, it doesn't close properly. If the hood was any good, I might give it 4 stars. However, "Zero Exposure" only applies to headless people. Full review

Showers Pass Syncline Jacket

rated 4 of 5 stars A durable hardshell rain jacket for road or trail. Lightweight breathable fabric with cross core ventilation. The Showers Pass Syncline is a lightweight (12.3 oz for a medium) rain jacket that works well for a variety of outdoor activities. Comprised of their 2.5 layered Artex fabric, it pairs a durable waterproof layer and a waterproof breathable membrane that incorporates a state of the art printed interior face, hence the .5 layer. The printing is used to wick moisture from your skin while taking… Full review

Arc'teryx Men's Atom AR Hoody

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Light, warm, and flexible. The Arc'teryx Atom AR fits true to form and allows for a full range of motion. The extra insulation in all the right places is worth the extra money if you are looking to stay light without sacrificing the warmth. Since purchasing the Arc'teryx Atom AR I have found it difficult to get myself to wear any other jacket in my wardrobe. It looks great and performs even better.  Although I would not recommend wearing the Atom AR as your outer layer if you are expecting to encounter… Full review

Toad&Co Aerium Shirtjac

rated 4 of 5 stars Four-way stretch makes this a versatile fall/winter jacket. On the trail or out to dinner, the jacket looks good and keeps you warm. I received the Toad&Co. Aerium Shirtjac in late September just in time for fall and winter hiking. My dark chestnut colored Shirtjac came in medium and fit my frame well. Constructed of 100% stretch nylon and filled with a coiled polyester insulation it has the styling of a shirt with the warmth of a jacket. The Shirtjac features a snap front closure, two side… Full review

Swix Cyclon Packable Wind Jacket

rated 4 of 5 stars This little beauty can be scrunched up small enough to fit into almost any pocket. Does a nice job of keeping out the wind chill factor. I've had this ultra lightweight wind jacket for some time, but only in the last month has the weather been cold and windy enough to use it. The Cyclon jacket is constructed of 100% 20 denier Nylon with a DWR (durable water repellent) coating to make it wind resistant. Weighing only 4 3/4 ounces the jacket can be rolled into such a small size that I can stow in… Full review

Arc'teryx Men's Norvan Jacket

rated 4 of 5 stars A lightweight water tight/breathable jacket, which won't slow you down. Picked up this jacket on sale last summer, and have been waiting for some bad weather to really test it. That weather is here! The Norvan Jacket is listed by Arc'teryx as a "trim fit" piece. I have other trim fit pieces from their lines, which fit fine. But this one is pretty tight around the gut. So it is more trim than most. The average person might want to move up to the next size for a more relaxed fit. Because of the super… Full review
