Mountain Hardwear G50 Jacket

rated 4 of 5 stars Very nice jacket. Well made and fits right. I'm 6' 235 lbs and XL fits me well. I really like this jacket. Incredibly sharp looking and well constructed. I listed the higher hand pockets as both a pro and a con. They are designed perfectly when wearing a backpack as they stay above the hip-belt and remain accessible. On the other hand, they look a little odd and not placed well for the hands in average everyday use. So, take that how you will. They are designed with a function in mind and work well… Full review

Feathered Friends Rock and Ice Parka

rated 5 of 5 stars Love this jacket! I cannot use words to say how beautiful this warm parka is. I am warm. It is so hard to get warm. For a small, cold female, this is the solution to anything in winter. Camping in the snow? Yes. Summiting Everest...well, that's what it's meant for but I can't say that there is a product in existence that would do that for me. However, this jacket is so good that I feel like I could test it in colder temps. I've never trusted a product enough to do that.  Full review

Arc'teryx Thorium AR Hoody

rated 5 of 5 stars The Thorium AR does exactly what it intends to, which is keep you very very warm and comfortable for a low weight penalty. Buy this jacket if you want a near a perfect insulation layer for weather below -5°C (23°F) that packs small and feels like wearing a cloud. First things first, this jacket excels at its intended use. If it's cold but dry, it's great. If it's wet or the wind picks up you WILL need a shell over it (down + water = bad, it isn't incredibly wind resistant). It's designed to be… Full review

Outdoor Research Axiom Jacket

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This jacket is tough, durable and has stayed waterproof (with good care) for four years already. I love everything about this jacket except the lower pocket placement. When using a climbing harness or wearing a backpack the pockets aren't accessible. Honestly one of the greatest jackets I've ever used. Had it for three years now and it's still going strong, even after using it for climbing, ice climbing, skiing, and backpacking. The jacket is only starting to show signs of wear, but is still holding… Full review

Paramo Taiga Fleece

rated 5 of 5 stars Super warm and very soft and comfortable jacket with a silk-like lining and lots of pockets. Fit and comfort is great. It's not too tight and you can easily fit an extra layer underneath, though I tend to use it with just one tee shirt or base layer under. It has a high collar and good zip and front poppers on the zip and wrists so as to keep all the nasty wind out and with the drawcord waist it's easy to cinch it in around the midriff to keep very toasty. It has a super soft feel to it and is noiseless,… Full review

Columbia Men's Bugaboo Interchange Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars It really is great jacket. I have been wearing it for seven years and can still proudly wear it. It is quite warm and comfortable, worth buying. I'm using it for hiking, as well as for skiing. I recommend this jacket to you. Full review

Nunatak Gear Skaha APEX Ultralight Climashield jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars Warm and light, no-frills insulated top. “Winter's Coming”, or so they say. In the U.K. that has means wet and windy, with the odd few days of snow if you are lucky. Body length is good, not being too short, and the cuffs don't ride up when raising my arms. The 13-inch zip makes it easy to get on and off. Elasticated hem which keeps drafts out, could do with an elasticated collar to stop heat escaping.  5.0 oz. Climashield APEX filling is a little bulky, like most four-season synthetic tops. Arc'teryx Men's Fission SV Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars The best jacket on the market today. Let's put it this way: The best jacket on the market today. Under various conditions, cold, wet, windy, this jacket does it all. Full review

Patagonia Men's Nano Puff Bivy Pullover

rated 5 of 5 stars This is the perfect cross-country skiing/snowshoeing mid layer. I had been using the Patagonia regular pullover for quite a few years for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing and have specifically stated to myself and others how I wish they had this with pockets.  So, I'm down in Dillon, MT, for work and stop in the Patagonia outlet store there and stumble upon one of these in gray at like 99 bucks and practically lose it. It never even occurred to me to want a hood. I have never seen a price like… Full review
