Retailers' Descriptions

Here's what other sites are saying:

Paddle the steepest creeks like a hero (at least in your own mind) in the Jackson Hero Kayak. Praised for its stability and user friendly design, the Hero inspires confidence in beginner paddlers with its wide, stable hull and allows advanced paddlers to stick difficult lines with that same easy-to-paddle, stable feel. Beginner paddlers will feel planted like a linebacker thanks to the wide and flat hull, but with a short, 7ft 4in length, the Hero is still nimble enough for quick maneuvers, rock spins, and easy peel outs. This stable but nimble feel will please pro-level paddlers, and novices alike, and it allows any paddler to step up to more difficult rivers in no time. Great for creeking and river running, the Hero seeks out steep lines, is easy to boof, and stays on top of the water. The Hero is outfitted like all Jackson whitewater boats, with the ankle-saving Uni-Shock bulkhead. Backed by thick foam and easily adjustable, the Uni-Shock system absorbs the brunt of the impact when that rock sneaks out of nowhere. The system sits on the U-Channel support track, which not only allows the seat to be easily adjusted, but supports the hull for a stiff and strong cockpit. The foam molded seat pad easily accepts Jackson's Sweet Cheeks system (sold separately) and is fitted with the adjustable Sure-Lock backband. Four stainless steel handles provide a solid connection to the boat in emergency situations, and a drain at the stern lets you easily dump water once you're back on shore.
