Manufacturer's Description

Same great design and features as the Mountain Hiking Boot but a lighter weight and flex, and 5mm rubber midsoles.

I use a full grain leather on all my Mountain Footwear. (made with smooth - top grain - out or the rough side out) (6/7 or 7/8 oz.) (3 or 4mm).

Leather insoles (this is the foundation of the boot - real leather works the best).

Inside leather heel counters (longer wear and holds the shape the best).

Handmade box toes to keep toe area solid.

A simple padded tongue is used on the leather bellows closure. (optional inside double tongue available" "Calder Fit System" ™).

Custom fitted close cell foam is used for the ankle area.

I use a heavy nylon thread for all my stitching (I use two rows of stitching and I double stitch in some areas).
