Dagger Axis 10.5

rated 5 of 5 stars Perfect crossover kayak. Just what I was looking for! I kayak the waters of northern Arkansas and southern Missouri, so I wanted a kayak that would do well on lakes or on Class I to III rapids. I found just what I was looking for with this one! I also like to do nature photography, and the skeg makes a big difference in keeping me on track toward my subject. The seat is adjustable and very comfortable, even during a 10-hour float. I am a 57-year-old woman, and I wanted one light enough I could… Full review

Necky Looksha T Tandem

rated 4 of 5 stars Good solid tandem kayak with ample dry cargo storage and plenty of lash points on deck for extra. We average well over 5 mph in flat water, no-wind situations for several hours at a time. A good kayak for those worried about stability. Handles wakes from big boats well and is forgiving even if you have much less than perfect technique. A good tandem kayak for the price. Most of the cons could easily go away, if we spent more than twice the money a carbon fiber/Kevlar kayak. But then we would be… Full review

Jackson Kayaks Karma RG

rated 4 of 5 stars Responsive and adaptable kayak that is good at many things, great at fewer. This kayak was purchased to for use on whitewater trips, flatwater exploration, and ocean surf. That already says a lot about the boat. The Karma RG is fast in a current and tracks well in flat water even while allowing much greater maneuverability than non-WW kayaks of similar length. Although the Karma RG could be called a crossover, it lives with the LL Stinger XP in separate tier. Not only does the Karma outpace models… Full review

Wilderness Systems Pamlico 100

rated 4 of 5 stars This is the ideal kayak for anyone who is just getting into kayaking, lives on a relatively calm lake, or enjoys going for a calm relaxed paddle. It has a good amount of storage, leg room, and is extremely stable. I purchased two of these kayaks almost five years ago, and they have been great to me. I live on a lake and take out one of the Pamlicos many times a week. They are a very stable kayak and I have never had any trouble with it tipping over. I love the storage behind the seat and found it… Full review

Eddyline Denali

rated 5 of 5 stars Finally, a kayak for the big guys! I just took delivery of my red Eddyline Denali last month and all I can say is WOW! First of all, this is a gorgeous kayak! Hands down far more sexy than any roto-molded boat I have ever seen. The materials and craftsmanship are stellar. It's made of thermofoamed ABS plastic. It's 15'3" long and weighs only 50 lbs. Best of all, this kayak fits a big guy like me. I have a very athletic build. I'm 6'3", 250 lbs with a 34" inseam and size 12 shoes and I fit very comfortably… Full review

Sea Eagle Explorer 380x Pro Package

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Extremely versatile, portable, easy to use "water SUV" that is perfect for any type of adventure one could imagine. This review is for the Sea Eagle Explorer 380X Pro package. The major difference between Pro and Deluxe is the seats: I like Pro seats much better but for more information look it up at the manufacturer website. I've been using this kayak for three seasons now and the fourth season is approaching. The quality of the kayak itself is fairly good: the body/hull is intact and holds up… Full review

Ocean Kayak Yak Board

rated 4 of 5 stars A short, wide sit-on-top kayak that is very stable, turns on a dime, and is easy to transport and carry. Designed for surf, it is a fine fishing platform. The rugged build of this short and wide surfing kayak provides a go-anywhere platform for out of the way fishing spots. I have bashed rocks, floated through flooded timber, and explored small streams in the search for seldom fished waters around the Chicago area. Over time I have added anchor trolleys on each side allowing two anchors to hold… Full review

Pelican International Intrepid 100x

rated 4 of 5 stars Great beginners kayak. The twin arch multichine hull is very stable, you would have to try hard to tip it. After reading all the great reviews of the Trailblazer 100 at Dicks, I was sold on Pelican. I had to call Pelican customer service to find out what hull was on that boat. Almost every review talked about the stability. I confirmed with Pelican that is had the twin arch multichine hull. She told me the Liberty, Trailblazer, Intrepid, Shoal, and Bounty all have the same hull. After seeing the… Full review

Perception Carolina 12

rated 4 of 5 stars I had only kayaked a few times, but was very interested in becoming a regular kayaker. However, I was on a budget. I did a fair amount of research when looking for a kayak, and a 12' kayak was suggested by a family member who teaches kayaking, because of ease in loading on and off of vehicle, and ease of navigating in creeks, marshes and smaller spaces. It was also recommended that I get a kayak with closed compartments so if I took in water it wouldn't sink. The Perception Caroline 12 has all this. Full review
