User Review: Kelty Eve 2

Summary

Very lightweight. Good headroom. Very easy to assemble. Floor space average -- good for smaller backpackers sharing a tent, or larger backpackers who don't mind being cozy. Ceiling entirely mesh (w/o rainfly), so provides good ventilation and view of stars if used w/o rainfly.

Very easy to set up -- took about 2-3 minutes once I got the hang of it. Footprint, tent, and fly all easily clip together at corners. Stakes very durable but light. Pitches tautly when using stakes. 

Handles rain and moisture well. Stays well-ventilated with easy-to-open/close vents in rainfly situated above doors.  Floor space cozy for two regular-sized users, fine for those on the smaller side. Vestibules created by rainfly not large enough to store pack, but big enough for smaller items such as boots. Four pockets on interior for small gear storage, as well as mesh "shelf" that will hang above your head if you want more storage at the expense of headroom.

Best feature of this tent, to me, is how light it is. Is lighter than my solo backpacking tent, which itself is very light.  Packs small, including poles. I also very much like the ventilation, as most of my backpacking is in warmer weather. Couldn't be happier with it.
