I was looking for a lightweight sleeping bag but didn't want to spend a fortune. This bag is great. I have used it in temps down to the low 20's with a fleece liner comfortably. It packs extremely small so it and my liner fits in the sleeping bag compartment of my backpack. The only reason I gave it 4.5 stars is because I am not crazy about the half zipper.

I am in scouting so I go camping about every weekend. This was the second bag I bought primarily for a trip to the Rocky Mountains. This bag keeps me warm and comfortable. At one camp while in the Rockies it started to hail and this bag kept me warm, even though it is only rated to 25 degrees. I've had this bag for about two years now and it has not ripped or even had the slightest tear to it.
The best part about this bag is the zipper at the foot. It allows me to regulate my body temperature and to cool my feet down when they have been stuck in hiking boots for twelve hours. Overall if you are looking for a bag that is inexpensive, warm, and can withstand the test of camping every weekend this is the bag for you.

The Light Year 25 is an excellent sleeping bag. I purchased the long version. I am 6'2" tall and weigh 220lbs. I found this bag to have plenty of room, especially for a mummy style bag. The light weight is great and the bag comes complete with storage and stuff sacks. This bag kept me absolutely comfortable during a 30 degree night at Jone's Gap State Park. A bonus is the zippered vent at the foot. A minus is the half length zipper. Overall - great.

The "shorty" zipper can make it difficult to get in and out of the bag for those of us who aren't adept at tent gymnastics. Other than that, it does what a bag is supposed to do and is both lightweight and compact in your backpack. Do use a bag liner though, both to protect the bag and to "really" get the 25F rating (really, without a bag liner I wouldn't use it below 30F).

Great bag for the money. I bought mine from Campmor for $129.99. Everyone else wanted at least $160 for it. I'm a winter back-packer/camper in the Smokies and this bag is light and warm.
