"Kelty has been in the pack-making business for more than 50 years--it shows in the intelligent design and value of the Tornado 4200 three-day pack. Ripstop nylon and heavy-duty tie down patches provide years of durability. Roomy main pouch is accessed from the drawstring top or by way of the large J-shaped zipper crossing down one side and across the front. Shovel bib can enclose a fleece jacket securely against the main pouch; also provides an exterior zippered mesh pocket and daisy chain. Large removable top pouch includes a hidden zippered pocket with key hook for securing valuables in one easily reached location. Two side mesh pockets provide quick access to water bottles (sold separately), energy bars, sunscreens and other quick-grab items. Hydration system includes interior compartment, three-liter bladder with hose and hose exit port. Four compression straps stabilize the load and pull the weight toward the back for optimal center of gravity.
