User Review: Kelty Zenith 2
Rating: ![]()
Source: bought it new
Price Paid: ~$70
Summary
Great tent on a budget.
Pros
- Price
- Weight
- Waterproof
Cons
- Fiberglass poles
Took this bad boy out during the rain with my fiance. Held up well, just got a bit condensed. Blame that more on the rain than anything else. If I could get aluminum poles, this tent would be almost exactly the same as the Salida 2, which is supposed to be great.
You can get this tent pretty taut, and is super easy to set up; alone it takes me about 6 mins from pitch to guy lines. Packs down decent, though not as small as more expensive tents, and the same goes for weight. Vestibule has ample space for two packs and boots. Internal space is tight if you are not cozy with your partner, but a great tent for couples, or dad and scout.
I enjoy many more nights in this tent, in all weather conditions.
