Kershaw Brawler

rated 4.5 of 5 stars
photo: Kershaw Brawler folding knife

The Kershaw knifes are some of the best knives I have owned. The Brawler makes it to the top of this list: 3.25-inch blade make is a great size and with the "Speedsafe" opening one-handed operation is a breeze

Pros

  • Size: 3.25-inch blade
  • Speedsave opening: one-handed opening safe and fast
  • Handle has a good grip and easy to handle

Cons

  • Little heavier than most of the Kershaw knives

The Specs :

Steel: 8Cr13MoV, Black oxide coating; Handle: Glass-filled nylon; Blade Length: 3 1/4 inches; Closed Length: 4 1/8 inches; Quad carry pocket clip, Speed safe and flipper opening systems; Liner lock locking system

So often when you need your knife is when you have your hands full. The Kershaw Speedsafe opening acts like a switchblade with a one-handed opening of the blade, locking it into place.

This knife has a smooth operation and is much safer than many other brands of speed opening knifes, keeping fingers away from the blade while opening the knife. The clip can be removed and reversed so it can be held in place where you want it (mine fits nicely on a loop on my pack shoulder strap) — handy for those left handed users. The blade has remained sharp after months of use.

Very good knife and well worth the money.
