Leatherman Super Tool 300

rated 5 of 5 stars Great! Well constructed and have used mine to build shelter in storm when in Zion. Wouldn't leave home without it. However, I do not own a tent except for a 6x9 tarp which does a fine job! Smooth operation, never gets loose, leather case included and rustproof! Full review

Leatherman Charge TTi

rated 4.5 of 5 stars It stays in my pocket! I have just about every type of high end knife or multitool. I can carry any of them for the chores that I do every day. Cutting back stray blackberry bush limbs, tightening the odd screw, or working on my archery equipment are just some of the things it does well, but better than the rest of the tools that could be with me. Which tool do you use? The one you have. If you're not carrying it you most likely won't use it. That being said the Leatherman Charge TI is the one you… Full review

Emmrod Packrod

rated 5 of 5 stars Compact and durable rod. I have in part to disagree with Jeff Willett. I have both an Emmrod Packrod and a Tenkara rod, and I like both, but they are two different beasts.  Tenkara are great for streams, rivers, small ponds, mountain lakes, mainly for trouts in shallow water (less than 3 m deep). Yes, no reel is fun and you don't have another mechanical piece of equipment, but the tip of the Tenkara is quite fragile and you must pay attention for not breaking it. It is for fishing with weak lines… Full review

Gransfors Bruk Small Forest Axe

rated 5 of 5 stars The Gransfors Bruk Small Forest Axe is a great addition to my light car camp and canoe camp kits. I had admired the Bruk axes for some time and always thought I would like to have one. They have a very good reputation and are a thing of beauty to look at. I finally settled on the Small Forest Axe as my choice for style and size. It fits between other axes I already own, a 1.5lb hand axe and a 2.75lb "boys axe". I was looking for an axe I could process arm sized wood with as well as for roughing… Full review

Coast Micro Pliers

rated 5 of 5 stars Small pocket sized multi-tool with pliers. It has many features of larger, heavier multi-tools but in a small package that you will carry every day and find yourself using on many of those days. This tiny micro-plier will find a home in your pocket unlike the big multi-tools at home in a drawer. The scissors, file, small knife blade and screwdrivers seem like a bonus to a very useful pair of pliers. Although I no longer live in the Arizona desert I would have loved to have had it to pull out cactus… Full review

Ozark Trail Titanium-Coated Knife

rated 4 of 5 stars Of the several hundred knives I currently have (and have had in the past), I can count the number of "made in China" knives I've owned on one hand. I never buy cheap knives. But this $3 knife from Walmart looked nice so I bought one. After admiring it for a while, I purchased a second one to run through a torture test of cutting, stabbing, beating, batoning, burying in salty mud, placing in a vice and bending, and intentional destruction. Amazingly, it held up. Razor sharp from the package and tight… Full review

Gerber Exchange-A-Blade Saw

rated 0.5 of 5 stars Handle started falling apart almost immediately. Lock button pops out of place. Piece of junk! Spend your money on something else. Handle started falling apart almost immediately. Didn't last an hour trimming less than 3-inch diameter branches. Lock button pops out of place. Piece of junk! Spend your money on something else. Benchmade Bushcrafter Family

rated 5 of 5 stars Looked into getting a cheaper bushcraft knife that was full tang to compliment my Mora. At first hard to swallow the price, but this is S30V steel. This blade holds an edge like no other. Has a fantastic warranty and will not rust here on the Oregon coast. I bought this knife as a closeout. I previously purchased a couple of Moras that I absolutely love. But I as I got into the hobby of so called bushcraft—what I used to call camping recreation until it took off—I decided I wanted a full tang… Full review

Light My Fire Swedish FireKnife

rated 4 of 5 stars I bought this knife on sale and I thought it would come in handy camping and backpacking and for other things. It has multiple uses and the fire starter works great. I bought this knife to bring with me camping and backpacking for multiple uses. It comes in handy for a lot of things from starting a campfire to skinning and gutting fish, to small repairs around camp. I even used this knife as a trowel when I forgot to bring mine on a trip. It is heavy duty and not too heavy. It's nice to have a tool… Full review
