Tempest Pant

rated 5 of 5 stars I use these pants for whitewater kayaking. The ability to stay dry is a must, when paddling in Alabama during the winter. I have had these pants for two months and love them. Best practice, stay in your boat, but if you swim these pants will work. Before I began using these pants I had been suffering form having no way to paddle in the COLD waters in Alabama. After a friend purchased a pair I had to get some myself. I now have the ability to paddle on the colder days of winter.   The built-in socks… Full review

MsFit Tour

rated 4 of 5 stars A great all around PFD for keeping you above water! I grew up wearing the typical orange, uncomfortable, and oversized life jacket that everybody pictures in their head when they hear "PFD", but once I first tried this on and tightened it up, It felt like I was wearing a bad ass tactical vest that had the bonus feature of keeping you afloat. This PFD is great for any activity that involves water. It gives you amazing range of motion in the arms and sits higher above your waist line compared to the… Full review

MsFit Tour

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Not as flashy or as low-profile as some of the newer designs, but this one won out because it appears more robust and more up to the job when you really need it. After 15 years, my old Lotus vest popped the zipper. I took offense at this and decided the new one should not depend on a zipper--it needed to have at least a buckle at the waist AND a buckle higher up.  I checked quite a few styles and almost ended up with a tiny, very-light Astral.  The MsFit Tour did not immediately come to mind because… Full review

Destination Baja Hat

rated 5 of 5 stars The best sun hat I am aware of. Provides complete sun protection from all directions. For a long time I have been looking for a lightweight breathable sun hat which would provide complete head and neck protection. Sunblock creams are just not suitable for heavy athletic activities like mountaineering. Sweat will quickly wash the cream off the skin, causing burning eyes, etc. Standard sun hats cover only the top and sides of the head. Face is barely protected by most of these products. With those,… Full review

Gore-Tex Meridian Dry Suit with Relief Zip

rated 5 of 5 stars Dependable cold water protection. Excellent comfort, construction, materials, warranty, and customer service. This dry suit is excellent for any type of kayaking, canoeing, or rafting. Love this dry suit. Wear it all the time. It is comfortable to wear in a wide range of temperatures. If I get too hot, I just roll to cool off. Durable materials, excellent waterproof zippers, neoprene covers over latex gaskets to protect them from UV damage. Wear it, treat it like the expensive garment it is, and… Full review
