The Komperdell Contour Titanal AS (antishock) trekking poles are ready to explore your favorite destinations. One of the strongest aluminum alloys around, the mechanical properties of Titanal are comparable to steel-with only a third of the weight. Titanal is also highly resistant to abrasion and corrosion. Built-in shock absorbers cushion your wrists and arms during the descent; shock absorber lock-out optimizes pushing on the ascent. 3-section design lets you adjust pole length from 24 - 55 in. for varied terrain and shorter hikers. Insulated contour foam grips are lightweight and absorb sweat. Extended grips form an additional grip zone, making it possible to hold the poles shorter on traverses or steep slopes without adjusting the length. Padded straps help eliminate discomfort caused by buckles and prevent skin irritation on the wrist and the back of your hand. Quick-release baskets can be changed with a twist of the wrist; remove Vario trekking baskets and add snow baskets (not included) for winter hiking. Tungsten carbide tips offer long-lasting wear.
