User Review: L.L. Bean High Camp 40°

Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Design: Mummy
Fill: Polarguard HV
Temperature Rating: 40 F
Weight: 1 lb 14 oz
Price Paid: $95

Purchased this bag for my new "ultralight" excursions, made necessary by my bum knees. Got my 55 lbs. down to 25 lbs. for a four-day jaunt, knocking off 2 pounds on my bag selection.

Turned out to be a great choice. The thing is light and packs down to 7" x 12" ... my major concern, though, was comfort and warmth. The temperature on our last trip dropped down to around 40 F, and with just my base layer micromesh shirt, shorts, Smartwool socks and knit hat, I stayed comfortably warm all night - and this is just sleeping under a tarp, no tent!

I believe the temp rating is conservative (good to at least 35 F), it packs small, is super light, has a real hood, great ripstop color scheme with a DWR finish. Why haven't you bought this yet??
