I got this bag from a cousin of mine that works at the LL Bean store in Maine.
He sent me the bag last year to Toluca, México, where I live, explaining me that it had been a great bargain for the bag.
I didn't use it until last week, that I went to Cancun, México, for vacation. The bag performed excellently. I carried from my own stuff up to baby toys that my wife asked me to bring with us. The bag was confortable, and resistant. I remember watching the airport clerks and operators throwing the bag as "trash" and it resisted the wear and tear.
For $30 bucks, it was the heck of a great buy. Now, I believe my cousin. Retail stores sell it for about $120 bucks.
Perhaps if you are not a pro hiker or trekker and like the backpack adventures or you're begining trekking/hiking, it's a good bag to buy. Wide side pockets that may carry slipers, sandals or even small shoes.
The padded back panel and lumbar pad were really made for total comfort. No problems at all.
