User Review: L.L. Bean Ultralight 2
Rating: ![]()
Design: Clip wedge
Sleeps: 1-2
Ease of Setup: Extremely easy to set up. Under 1 minute in good light and good weather.
Weight: 5 lbs+
Price Paid: $150 (2-3 person is $175)
Great tent! Weight is good, price is excellent, quality is excellent, set up is a breeze. However, be advised that, contrary to the rating, this is NOT a 2 person tent unless you folks are awfully small and/or extremely friendly. So...it's great for my 6 foot, 200 pound torso all by myself. One last point: the rainfly/vestibule (included in price) is bright, deep purple. I mean it jumps out and screams PURPLE!! As such, it darkens the interior greatly. I would suspect that it would raise interior temperature as well, however it was comfortable in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee in May.
