This a great buy for the money. I took a shot in the dark when I ordered the pack, but with the LL Bean guarantee how could I go wrong? The largest load i have carried in this pack was 100 lbs, for a distance of about 6 miles, uphill mostly. It handled the load better than I did. I would recommend this pack to anybody looking for a great value.

Rating: rated 4 of 5 stars

Number of Pockets: 5 (plus 2 side water bottle pockets)
Max. Load Carried: 50 lbs

Price Paid: $190

Exercise self control with this pack. Very roomy to the point that you're tempted to put "just one more thing" in the main compartment. Top pockets hold all the essentials (raingear, first aid pack, flashlight and extra batteries, etc) extremely well. Sleeping bag compartment holds long liteloft bag, camp shoes and extra clothes - no problem. Main compartment holds whatever you like. Again, exercise restraint and don't let your friends get a look inside. Adjustable ladder suspension system, padded waist belt, etc. make it an OK buy for the money. 100% guaranteed, as is everything by LL Bean.
