Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus Recharger

rated 4 of 5 stars I'm hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and do a lot of night hiking looking for a campsite or going for water. The Guide Ten make my life and hike easier and safer knowing I will always have fresh batteries for my headlamp. I don't have to carry a lot of extra batteries and the Guide Ten is easy to use. FlameStower Heat Charger

rated 1 of 5 stars Does not work! Tested it for 1.5 hours at various distances from the gas stove and including putting an ice into the water. Did not charge a single percent—neither my phone (HTC First) nor my satellite communicator InReach. Full review

Sunwayman D20A Gemini

rated 1 of 5 stars A tea cup is more durable than this flashlight! I bought this flashlight because of nice design. Unfortunately I did not have a chance to use it outdoor to describe parameters such as range, brightness etc. Item was super fragile! Mine broke after falling from 30 centimeters. I'm the owner tens of flashlights from Fenix, olight, and also no-name Chinese manufacturers, but never had problem regarding durability. Battery compartment cover of this flashlight is fixed using two tiny screws and it… Full review

InstaPark Mercury 10 Solar Panel Charger

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Quality charger, but somewhat heavy. Charger looks solid, charges very fast. Problem is that for me it is a little bit heavy for backpacking (about 0.5 kg) and too expensive. It can be attached to a backpack, but I think it will be not comfortable when you have a tent and sleeping pad already attached.  In the future I most probably will give a chance to another more lightweight options, which are many in the market. Fenix LD20

rated 5 of 5 stars Quality flashlight, have been using since 2010 without any problem (I have older model). Very durable flashlight, Using since 2010 without any problem. Super bright with many modes including strobe, sos, turbo. Waterproof. I'm not sure about shockproofness, but it is in like new condition since 2010 and has withstood many shocks and hits so far. Uses most widely used 2xAA batteries which can be found everywhere. I mainly use it for camping, but it is also good for everyday carry. Full review

Black Diamond Spot

rated 5 of 5 stars Excellent product. Best in terms of price/performance ratio. Good for camping. I highly recommend this headlamp Excellent product. Best in terms of price/performance ratio. Uses three most widely used AAA batteries. These batteries can be found everywhere. But anyway you will not need to carry spare batteries for multi day trips, because consumption is so low that it will last forever.  I used it heavily for 4 days, I used almost all modes and intensively used on max setting and battery indicator… Full review

Black Diamond Spot

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Lasted over five continuous hours outside at -25°F during my most extreme test. Adjustable brightness white light, but doesn't remember the light level when you turn it off. Has red light function too (non-adjustable brightness). Locks for travel so you don't accidentally turn it on. Love this headlamp for night cross-country skiing in Alaska! In a place without light pollution, this light often feels too bright on anything but the lowest setting. Makes me happy because I know I have tons of extra… Full review

MPowerd Luci EMRG

rated 4 of 5 stars High quality, and Luci stands behind its products. Saw this in my local outdoor retailer (Outdoor Trails, Daleville), and couldn't resist. Two steady power settings— one flashing white and one flashing SOS in alternate white or red—and in a smaller package the the original Luci. The frosted sides makes for a nice light; the original Luci light was a little harsh. It provides good illumination up to about 20' on low, 30' on high. The clear bottom allows it to be used somewhat directionally, like… Full review

Princeton Tec Byte

rated 3 of 5 stars This headlamp was good on batteries and packed up small, pretty bright for my vision and easy to turn on and off. It lasted maybe 3 years but now it won't turn on and I see that this is not unusual for the PTec Byte. Could see maybe 20 feet in clear conditions. Beam was not adjustable and somewhat narrow width.  Full brightness would last a few days. I used rechargeable batteries with mine. Easy to use, just a single button for 3 modes. Construction looked durable but it just stopped working,… Full review
