I love my Limmers! They weigh a ton, especially when saturated with mud and water, but are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. There's an old saying that you don't break Limmers in, they break you in. I'd have to disagree, Peter Limmer measured my foot and the boot fit like a dream and required almost no breakin period. There's no insole or padding on the foot bed whatso ever but I have never suffered a blister (I'm on the end of the third sole). You can buy cheap light weight boots and replace them every few years, or buy Limmers and have them for years to come!
