If you're looking for a lightweight boot for day hikes, this one is ideal. I found it extremely comfortable and sturdy. After two years of heavy use as a field biologist in a wide variety of areas from desert bouldering to tropical rainforests, these boots have held up extremely well. No dampness, even in very wet conditions. I'm shopping for another pair at this moment...highly recommend.
