A great jacket for the price!
It has served me well over the past two years, both in the hills here in Ireland, and in Scottish winter conditions. The fabric breathability is very good, especially in cold conditions, though the original DWR coating did not last all that long. I hear that the newer DWR from Lowe is far more durable.
The hood is easily large enough to wear with a helmet, and rolls away neatly into the collar. My only aesthetical complaint is that the collar tends to jutt out a little far with the hood rolled down. Still, this does not in any way take away from the great performance of the jacket.

I have now owned my Foothills Jacket for a year, I have worn it in the heaviest of rain. What do you know it's WATERPROOF!!! At last a coat I can trust to keep me dry and warm. No more leaky Gore-Tex for me. See my review on the Berghaus Lightning!
