A rugged simple day pack/climbing pack with enough heavy duty side lugs to tie on more capacity to make up for its smaller size. I've used it for a spring/summer ski-pack with success: It's narrow and doesn't interfere with skiing. skis can be carried on the side lugs, but unless the skis are pulled forward at the top by tying onto the hoisting strap the tails of the skis will interfere with your calves when hiking.
