Then it started locking up. . . just after the warranty expired of course. It has happened three times and now I have a very expensive paperweight!
The first time it locked up was because of an incomplete download of the MapSend software."

The only negative thing I have to say is the battery compartment screw can strip out if you're not careful. The Magellan support staff was great – even sent me three FREE accessories for my inconvenience – when was the last time that happened!?
If you can afford it go with the SporTrak Color unit."
