User Review: Mammut Laser Jacket

Mammut Laser Jacket
Above: The current Laser Jacket, which may differ slightly from the version reviewed.

Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Fabric: Schoeller WB-400
Price Paid: $160

This is a wonderful jacket. The Schoeller WB-400 is a smooth outer fabric lined with a fleece. There is a membrane in between that is water resistant (maybe waterproof) that breathes very well. The torso is longer in the back but below the waist in the front as well. The sleeves are very long with built in thumb loops. The hood has a sun visor built in with adjustable opening and side pulls.

I have not had a chance to wear it in the cold yet, but since it is WB-400, I am sure it will be just fine. I have another very poorly designed WB-400 jacket and I at least know the fabric itself is absolutely amazing. The newest version of this jacket has a new coating called Nano-Sphere technology which resist not only water, but almost anything else, i.e. oil, blood, chocolate, dirt of any kind. The zippers are water resistant as well.
