Excellent jacket. This is what Mammut calls a hybrid shell, the hood and half upper part are waterproof while the core is a super breathable softshell, which is why I love it.

I spent most of the snowboarding season in it and can't say enough about the way it breaths, keeping your core just protected enough without overheat, while the upper part of the jacket, which is waterproof keeps you, well, dry.

All in all a fantastic piece of equipment. I only paid $120 at Sierra Trading Post just to make it even better.
