The Mammut Alpine climbing harness from the Zephir line was developed in close cooperation with the two top alpinists, Dani Arnold and David Lama and therefore reflects the needs of modern alpinists who want to travel light and move quickly. In spite of a minimalist design that has been reduced to the minimum weight, the belt's split webbing offers optimum comfort. The extremely flat design of the waist belt means that the Zephir Alpine is easy to use in combination with a backpack.
- Mountain Gear
Developed in collaboration with Dani Arnold and David Lama, the Mammut Zephir Alpine Harness is made for alpinists who want to travel light and move fast. Its minimalist design keeps weight to a minimum, while the belt's split webbing ensures optimal comfort. The flat design of the waist belt means it can be worn comfortably with a backpack. Stitched daisy chains allow you to individually position ice-screw carabiners, and four large, yet lightweight gear loops handle any extra hardware. All of it adds up to explain why the Zephir Alpine has been used everywhere from remote locales in Patagonia to the classics in Chamonix.
The next level: This ultra-light sport climbing harness boasts the latest technology and a progressive design. The Zephir uses a combination of split webbing design and Mammut Frame technology (a lamination process that applies TPU reinforcement to the mesh material in order to increase the lateral stability of the belt). This allows even distribution of pressure across the entire belt surface and unprecedented suspension and comfort. This is further improved by the anatomical cut and extreme breathability of the hip belt.
