This is just a great product. For well-justified admirers of the DriClime Windshirt, here is the jacket version with the things the windshirt was missing. The jacket uses an outer stretch nylon fabric (similar to Schoeller but lighter) with DWR that is hydrophobic and very breathable, even more so than the windshirt; a slightly heavier Driclime lining, zip hand pockets (plus the Napoleon pocket), an inner cell phone pocket, and a foldaway hood.

It is slightly heavier and warmer than the windshirt, and where the windshirt makes a good anything layer, this is targeted as a light outer layer for foot-borne activities in variable conditions. It can also be used as a heavy mid layer, replacing a separate windproof fleece in the travel bag, adding the virtue of high water resistance when worn by itself.

The looser fit and stretch fabric of the jacket allow a couple of light layers beneath without being baggy or loose by itself. The sleeves easily accommodate my 36 inch arms, and the wrist elastic and lining effectively seal the arms from wind. The neck has an elastic drawcord to completely seal from the top, and the waist has a single elastic drawcord in back to keep out of the way of your pants pockets. They thought of everything. I like it so much I bought two. Marmot should offer this jacket forever.
