Marmot Limestone 8P

photo: Marmot Limestone 8P three-season tent

Great build quality as to expect from Marmot. Easy to set up with two people and the amount of space this thing renders is incredible. Definitely a car camping tent for family's or people with A LOT of friends.

Pros

  • Cool layout
  • BIG

Cons

  • Thin material
  • No footprint

The drawbacks are quite steep though. For the cost of the tent it doesn't come with a footprint. Yeah, that's kinda a big deal because we had to pick tree sap off the bottom of the tent. The tent floor is quite thin which in the long run can lead to floor tears and wear on your waterproofing.

Also on our first outing the rain fly tore right at the zipper, very disappointing when you consider you will have to buy a footprint that Marmot no longer makes.

I would not recommend this tent for the reasons above.

Considering the Big Agnes Flying Diamond 8 or just buying one last tent, The North Face 2M Dome.
