User Review: MEC Super Couloir Jacket

I bought my Super Couloir this fall and have been completely happy. Top notch fitting and construction, great materials, and easily $200 less than North Face or Sierra Designs alternative. Great hood, with room for a helmet (bike or climbing) and a size adjuster. Waterproof pit-zips, no over-flap, keep under-arm bulk to the absolute minimum. Only complaint...I could use it a bit longer, and with a powder skirt.
MEC is becoming very popular, and for good reason. They are an incredible co-op with a commitment to quality, service and who listen to their customer/owners. Some people are concerned that MEC is becoming trendy, and they fear being labeled as "posers" or "sheep" but I say it is better to make a trend from a responsible company, offering a co-operative retail alternative, than some cash hungry corporate pig like TNF.
There is an alternative to paying huge bucks for a "famous" name. ie. North Face, Sierra Designs, Marmot, Orage, etc.
