Previously written review of the MION Current sandal; love 'em!
This Tide Scramble sandal may be an older model; insert is sewn in. Would like to be able to exchange with other shoes. Anyway, these are very large, compared to the Current. Still, they allow me to walk without the brace my shredded posterior tibial tendon would otherwise require.
Took Current and Tide Scramble on tour from San Francisco - Nevada - Oregon - Washington, then up the Inside Passage NCL lines thru Ketchikan; Juneau; Skagway; Prince Rupert, B.C. Best for the deck and side trips. Wore Tide Scrambles on Salmon trip out of Clover Pass, north of Ketchikan. Rainy & fishy; just GREAT!!
Still so sad these are being phased out. Only hope someone picks up on the superior foot bed and sole system; I'll keep buying.
One problem with the last statement; these things LAST!! Wore Current every day since Christmas of 2007. Planning on taking same thru Montana next week. Maybe I'll wear out first. Buy 'em while they got 'em...
