A nice windproof but the hood has no draw-cord at the back for volume and flaps about and probably does not need to be lined.

Chest pocket is nice and the length is ok.
Mine has started to come apart at the seams.

Fabric: Pertex DWR
Price Paid: $60

Super light and good for basic rain protection. Compresses super small also. Would not want to wear it during a chilly thunderstorm of a few hours duration, but for warm weather backpacking or ultralight backpacking it is hard to beat. Also quite durable for the weight of the material. In general, Pertex is great stuff and Montane makes great products for ultralight use. No frills - just ultra low weight and good performance.

Fabric: This is a full zip jacket made from Pertex Microlite DWR+ and Pertex Quantum DWR+ fabric It also has the benefit of a hood for extra protection.
Price Paid: 90 euro

It weighs nothing. It's not breathable, but it's quite waterproof. Ideal for hiking and trekking during summer, when a sunny day can fastly change into a rainy one, and you can need a hyperlight softshell to preserve your vest from getting wet.

pro: no-weight, extremely comfortable, waterproof, unexpectedly strong.

contro: under the rain it loses colour and you could find spots on your underwear.
