User Review: Moss Tents Stargazer
Rating: ![]()
Design: 3 season, freestanding
Sleeps: 2
Ease of Setup: Good, but not in a high wind.
Weight: 7-8 lbs
Price Paid: $350
This is an excellent tent. Windproof, rainproof, well ventilated with the noseeum netting ceiling. Vestibule is too small for packs, which is a drawback, and makes it difficult to get in and out. Flaws include: mosquito netting on the door is inside the storm door! The fly door allows too much weather in when it's open.
Ours is five years old, and the pole sleeves and floor are beginning to give out. However, this is after five years of use on granite campsites with much abrasion.
Interior space is excellent for two people, it is high enough to sit up comfortably, and change clothes etc. Excellent stability in the highest winds. Light colour keeps it cool in hot weather.
