Mountain Hardwear Optic 3.5
Lightweight tent that sets up quickly. Held up thru sleet, wind, snow, and rain this May-June in Yellowstone and Grand Canyon without a single leak, still amazed. Worked great for me and the wife and a bit of gear.
Pros
- Lightweight
- Quick setup
- Durable
- Great ventilation
The Optic 3.5 set up and broke down quickly taking less than 4 minutes for each. Temperatures dipped to the low 30s and wind blew hard with sleet and snow and rain but we stayed totally dry while camped in Yellowstone and Grand Canyon this May and June. Worked perfectly for two people and backpack, but wouldn't want to try and add a third.
Perhaps the best tent I have owned and have been camping and backpacking for best part of 54 years.
