I have had this pack for 3 1/2 yrs and it is still almost like new except for a few dirt marks. I LOVE IT!!! I wouldn't change packs for the world. Mountainsmith makes the best made packs that I have ever seen. I have used my Backbowl on about 40 outings varying from a weeklong trip to a weekend trip in the 20 below blustery winds of Alaska. Since I am a minimalist this pack is perfect for long trips but not for more than that. Mountainsmith has redone all of their packs and I haven't been able to see what they are like yet but knowing Mountainsmith, they have got to be great.
