User Review: Mountainsmith Boundary Tent
Rating: ![]()
Design: 2 pole free standing dome
Sleeps: 2
Ease of Setup: easy and fast
Weight: 4.6 lbs
Price Paid: $100
This is your typical two pole dome tent. Set-up is fast and easy. I thought that the tent was surprisingly strong when staked and guyed out properly. Ventilation is a little iffy. There is one window in the door and two small mesh vents in the ceiling. One strong point are two vents in the fly. I recently used the tent for several days and it performed very well through several thunderstorms.
The tent has a vestibule, which is on the small side. Even though I am of average height and weight, getting in and out of the tent was at least a little awkward.
Listed weight is 4.6 lbs which is great for a two person tent. However the tent is only app. 46 inches wide so two people would make for a tight fit. This size would be great for one person and gear and/or a dog.
I paid $100 for this tent but recently saw it on one web site for $80. It is a great buy at either price.
