They're heavy, but you cannot destroy them. Freeze it, drop it, bang it, put boiling water in it, etc., etc., etc. It keeps on going. A few things I like to do with them are: fill them about 90% full and freeze it so you have a great cold drink at lunch on the trail; put boiling water in it and use it as a foot-warmer when winter camping; put boiling water in it in the morning and have a hot drink at lunch-time; use an old one as a waterproof first aid or repair kit. When it gets beat so ugly; retire it to your workshop for storing screws, etc. and buy a new one for the trail.
