I bought the mid height version of this shoe.

I really liked how light weight and comfortable this shoe is.

However, the Goretex model is not at all waterproof - not even water repellent.

Total failure in the waterproof department.

The material holds water like a sponge and the inside of the boot became soaked 8 hours after I initially got them wet.

The testing was done in my backyard by standing in front of a sprinkler for 15 minutes, wearing Gore-tex rain paints that channeled the water to run onto the shoes.

I returned them without them ever hitting the trail. They were still wet when UPS picked them up.
