Mountaineer II

rated 5 of 5 stars As a 4-season tent, it is bombproof and endured some wonderful CO and WY winter adventures. Moving to AZ and pushing it into much warmer 2- and 3-season uses, rendered it overkill. This was an excellent tent when it came out, well designed, well constructed for 4- and 5-season use. Very easy to pitch, whether in the dark or in a snowstorm, very easy two pole sleeve design. Once the fly was guyed out it was a taut little structure with a silhouette designed to shed snow load.┬áLoved the blue color… Full review

Tranquility

rated 5 of 5 stars I have used this tent since it was sold uner the Gregory name in the '80s. I am now on my second tent because my wife wanted more space then the original. We camp somewhere around 100 nights a year while cycle touring. This tent has served without complaint under heavy storms in New Zealand, big rains in Thialand, snow in Turkey and is still giving more than one would expect. Our current one has been with us since our round the world trip in 94-95 and still looks and preforms wonderfully. Steve… Full review

Serenity

rated 5 of 5 stars If you are not familiar with Noall tents, the company is a small family owned enterprise operated by Steve Noall. When you call their phone number ~ Steve Noall answers the phone. Steve is very friendly and his VERY personal customer service is excellent. I purchased this tent four years ago. I was influenced by the great reviews that I had read in Outside magazine about the Noall Mountaineer tent. I liked his Serenity tent but called Steve to ask about adding certain features to it. What I got… Full review

Tranquility Mega Dome

rated 5 of 5 stars Noall tents were sold under the Gregory label when I purchased this tent in 1990 (?). I was living in Tucson, Arizona, at the time. Tucson is in a hot desert and I wanted a 2-3 person tent to use for desert camping. So I looked for a tent that was essentially a free-standing mosquito net with a fly. Fortunately for me Bob's Bargain Barn had a tent sale on their last Gregory Tranquility Base (which I believe is Noall's Tranquility Mega-Dome in 2001 tent-lingo). I bought the tent at half-price for… Full review

Equinoix

rated 4 of 5 stars Noall tents is a small manufacturer somewhere in California. I was amused when I called them to order direct and Steve Noall answered the phone, with his kids screaming in the background. As I understand it, he used to be the designer for Gregory when they made tents in the 1980s. The tent is supposed to be used mainly for lightweight backpacking, bicycle touring, and alpine climbing. I mainly use it for alpine-style mountain asccents. The tent looks rather similar to the Walrus Arch-Rival except… Full review
