This is a great SUMMER tent. It was designed to keep you cool as possible in the summer and works very well. In fact, there are many great design improvements over other tent makers.

Indeed, the instructions were less than optimal, but I found it easy to figure out. It is always best to have a trial run in setting a "new" tent up in the back yard. That way, you can spend your time enjoying the camping and not having to be under the gun trying to figure out a new puzzle in a new environment.

Staking the four corners before erecting the tent is an excellent tip.

The framing seems a bit flimsy at first, but when erected, it work very well and does not catch rain on the roof.

Sealing the seams is a good practice on any tent, new or used. The process seems intimidating, but is really simple once you actually do it.
