This bag serves me well during my previous two climbs in Sichuan, China. The first climb was in October 2005 and the second one in August 2006. The amount of fill that it has is pretty much warm enough for the season and the weather that I encountered. It keeps me warm at an altitude as high as 5800m. I only had my merino wool base layer on at night. On many nights at lower altitude (4000m to 5000m) whether on clear nights or snow, I was mostly too warm in this bag that I had to unzip all the way down and used it as a blanket.

The only complaint I have is that the bag is way too long for my height (5'6"). I have plenty of extra leg room to dry my wet gears at night. I would recommend it for high altitude mountaineering in summer months.
