Osprey Amelia

rated 5.0 of 5 stars

The Amelia has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best expedition packs for 2024.

As a small-framed woman with chronic back and shoulder pain, I find the Amelia's wide hipbelt and ability to shift so much weight to my hips to provide superior comfort. My one complaint about the Amelia, as with other Osprey packs, is the "one big pocket" syndrome; although I'm not a compulsive categorizer, it's annoying to have to dig through gear for that one thing that's always at the bottom. Does anyone else find the detachable fanny pack expands the pack's usefulness in everydy life a hundredfold? I'm addicted to mine--much better than a silly purse which I'm liable to forget somewhere.
