In a few words, the Crescent 70 holds all the gear you will need (as long as you don't pack everything and the kitchen sink that is) while hanging on to your back like a comfortable monkey. Yep, it's a deluxe load hauler that can actually carry weight comfortably. In my experience, the most I have ever carried in it was 50 lbs., and even then, the backpack distributed the weight and it didn't feel that heavy. However, onto the features.

Starting at the bottom, you've got the piece that makes this bag great. The BioForm heat molded hip belt provides a custom fit and a much more comfortable ride than most other packs that I've tried on. Trust me, it's awesome!

Going up the pack, you've got a spacious sleeping bag compartment with divider into the main compartment, which has a long side access under the Straight Jacket compression system (with top access as well of course). The compression system compresses the load great and also allows for a sleeping pad or tent to be stored vertically under the straps (a really good way to attach your stuff by the way).

To support it all, the Recurve suspension system provides consistent and stable flex for your movement and absorption of weight. Plus, the top lid turns into a fanny pack, and the hydration sleeve is a hydration backpack (with the addition of the sleeping pad straps). Both of these bonuses help out on those unexpected excursions once you get to camp. Also, there are three pockets, other than the main compartment, and a nice pocket to stuff you camp shoes.

Hands down, you should try this pack on. It's very comfortable and it can carry everything you will need for just about any trip.
