This is a perfect all around pack. By distributing most of the weight onto your hips instead of the shoulders, it carries loads very easily. I have had it packed with two weeks of gear at over 75 lbs as well as taking it on long day hikes. It's a little heavy for day hikes, but the removable top loader and stays allow for a lot of weight reduction. Beware of excessively long straps all of the pack though.
