User Review: Osprey Raptor 14

This is a great pack. Very functional, comfortable and light weight. I love the thoughtful design of the fit and the internal organization pockets. The magnetic component attached to the hydration hose is genius and is such a huge improvement over other competing products that just let the hose flop around and drip on you while you're on the move.

However, there is a VERY SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW with the hydration bladder! These bladders do not hold up and leak through the stitching that attaches the bladder to its plastic support framework.

Stitching through the bladder is a bad idea from the start and the fact that I'm on my 3rd bladder in as many months validates that. I was so enamored by this pack the first couple of days I had it that I recommended it to two of my buddies. One of them is also on his third bladder the other is on his second.

The person that posted that the stats were really low and that Osprey has resolved the issue is unfortunately mistaken or has been misled by the vendor. The buddy of mine that is also on his third bladder received the last one directly from Osprey, who claimed it was one of the latest batch that did not have this issue.
