Great bag perfect for traveling. It's very durable and the waterproof bottom is a huge plus. I really liked the large opening on the top so I could fit larger items into the bag.

The RE Factor Tactical ASO Bag is hands down the best…

Summary

The RE Factor Tactical ASO Bag is hands down the best all around bag I have ever purchased. I used this as a range bag, travel bag, short hiking bag, and bug-out bag. The bag is designed to versatile and has replaced about 10 other bags that I used for various purposes.

Pros

  • Removable backpack straps for use as a duffel
  • Waterproof bottom and durable design
  • RFID Blocking pocket
  • Great organization
  • Integrated rainfly option

The ASO Bag was designed by some military guys as a bag that could be carried through an international airport and not look like a tactical bag, but also has all the great features of a bag that a soldier might need. From this design they put together one of the best bags I have ever owned.

Fit: The bag isn't designed for long haul hiking. It's more used for someone who wants to walk in a short ways to a campsite or carry their heavy luggage through the airport. That being said it rides extremely comfortably for what the bag offers.

Capacity: The bag seems to fit everything I need and still fits in the overhead bin for air travel which is very important for me.

Organization: This part is huge. The bag comes with 7 mesh pockets for easy separation of items as well as their "fight pocket" which helps to separate essential items from the main bag for quick access. The pocket also has various elastic loops which are great for anything from medical items when camping to pens and paper while at the office.

Ease of Use: This bag is definitely designed to be easy. The backpack straps easily come off, the duffle bag straps easily stow away and the ability to use the bag is seamless.

Features: I think one of the best features of the bag is the RFID pocket on the exterior part of the bag.  The pocket is designed to keep your identity from being stolen when thieves are using wireless scanners.

Durability: I have now traveled with this bag to 5 countries and taken it on multiple camping trips, the bag is indestructible.
