Good insulation and brush protection at a fair price.

If you're not hung up on buying the expensive brands, give these a try. Fit and finish are decent, and they perform as designed.

Pros

  • Good insulation
  • Good thorn/brush protection
  • Good price point

Cons

  • They run a little large

I had my hesitation, with the low price and an off-brand, but the reviews I had seen were mostly very favorable. While these pants do run a little large, they fit well and seem to be made pretty well.

I wore them a few times, and they're very comfortable and kept me warm in all but the coldest weather. Most importantly, I took them hiking into very dense brush this past weekend, and was protected from all burs and thorns.

They'd be a worthwhile purchase at even $10 or $15 more.
