Summary

Warm, very lightweight, well designed, well built.

Pros

  • Warm
  • Lightweight
  • Smart design/good looks
  • Excellent construction

Cons

  • None

This is an excellent mid layer/outer layer/belay jacket from OR. It is very lightweight, and comfortable. It is well designed with nice attention to detail (everything is sleek and unobtrussive) and functions nicely. It appears very well constructed, and fits nicely. So far durability does not appear to be an issue as it has survived multiple outings quite nicely.

Unlike other similar products, some of which look like you're wearing a garbage bag, this actually looks quite nice, and doesn't look out of place as an outer jacket for a trip to a pub after a hike, or a walk in the city on a colder night.

I would highly recommend it and would definitely buy again if lost or damaged.

WOW, this jacket is super super warm, very light weight, compressible, and an all around great jacket. I would say get a size larger than you wear (they run a little small). This jacket has Primaloft and will keep you very warm.

I am extremely pleased with the fit and finish of the product. The seams and pockets lay flat. OR’s attention to detail cannot go unnoticed. Both the lining and exterior are smooth and great for layering. My only qualms with the jacket are sizing issues. The sizes run small. I’m shaped like a barrel with a broad chest and shoulders. I purchased a Large. This one is not as forgiving in the chest and arms. If you have a slender build or resemble a string bean – buy your size. Otherwise, go up a size. My large is currently listed in the classified section on Trailspace. The XL I just picked up rocks!
